Teyana Me Shay Jacqueli Shumpert is an American singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, choreographer, director and model. In 2005, Taylor signed a recording contract with American musician Pharrell Williams' Star Trak Entertainment, before making her national debut on MTV's My Super Sweet 16. In 2012, she signed with the record company. GOOD Kanye West's music through Def Jam, after requesting his release from Star Trak. An ambitious musician, Taylor has also written for artists like Usher, Chris Brown and Omarion. Taylor appeared on the runway during Fashion Week and was also featured in popular films, such as Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. She starred in VH1's reality TV show Teyana and Iman, along with her husband, basketball player Iman Shumpert.
