Luke Campbell Donald MBE is an English professional golfer who was once world No. 1. He mainly plays on the US-based PGA Tour, but is also a member of the European Tour. Donald had an exceptional year in 2011, winning numerous tournaments and awards. He won the PGA Tour and the European Race to Dubai pre-roster to complete the historic double, becoming the first player to win both the PGA and European Tours roster in the same year. He was named PGA Player of the Year and European Golfer of the Year. He also became the first British player to win the PGA Tour Player of the Year award, the PGA Tour Vardon Cup and the Mark H. McCormack award for weeks at number one in the calendar year. He then received the title of honorary member of the European Tour for his achievements in 2011. In May 2011, Donald became the number one golfer in the official world golf rankings after winning the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club.
